In this satsang, Ma describes in great detail how the Rajasic and Tamasic qualities impede our progress in spiritual path.
Ma tells us that the Rajo Guna impels us to engage in ceaseless activity. It generates desire for objects and motivates us to act towards fulfillment of the desire. Tamas on the other hand steeps us in inattention, lethargy and sleep. It takes away our discriminating power. When there is predominance of either of these gunas in our being, our mind gets distracted and remains immersed in perishable things thereby preventing us from attaining Sreyas.
Ma enlightens us that our impure traits always gets expressed in our daily actions and interactions. So we should become attentive to identity these impure traits, admit their presence and then make a sincere effort to remove them. This practice will slowly but surely make our mind pure. Ma assures us, we only need to love Purity and it will become ours!
Mā's Satsang is entitled 'Towards Eternal Peace and Happiness' based on Bhagavad Gita, Vivekachudamani, Yoga Vasistha Ramayanam and Bhagavatam | | Live Global Satsang with Spiritual Masters on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday at 8 pm IST/ 10:30 am EDT/ 10:30 pm MST
