104 – by Swami Nirviseshananda Tirtha – Jnana leads to placidity of mind

1060 Views | 2 years ago

In this satsang, Nutan Swamiji enlightens us about the Supreme position knowledge has in our lives and how it bestows unswerving placidity.

Although we are learning shastras and listening to satsangs, the truth is we are not applying it to our own being. We can see that our mind is always given to smallness. We cling to what we like and hate what we dislike and hence we are never free of troubles. Swamiji says, there is nothing more purifying in the whole world than Jnana; the knowledge of Atma will make us free like space.

A person who discovers his real identity - on which appears the whole universe, will interact freely without losing the awareness of it. He will not get bound or affected by anything happening in the world. That knowledge removes all kinds of differential visions and hence mind attains placidity. Swamiji tells us, the placidity will be felt not just in favorable situations but also in greatest challenges. With the vision of knowledge, seeing everything as an expression of the Atma, one remains ever inspired, joyful and contented!

Swamiji will be discussing 'Voice of Upanishads'. The Global Satsang will be based on Kathopanishad and Mundakopanishad. | Live Satsangs with Spiritual Masters on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday at 8 pm IST/10:30 am EDT/ 10:30 pm MST.
