Prabhata Rashmih - Meditation - The Purpose and the Process

Handling distractions during Meditation

  • Handling distractions during Meditation

In this track, Poojya Swamiji clarifies the question of all seekers and practitioners of meditation–“When I meditate, many thoughts come and they are distracting. Why do I get disturbed?” Swamiji assures a seeker that the disturbance will prevail until one knows that the mind and the thought are the same. One should be able to understand that ‘thought’ or ‘no thought’ makes no difference to the substance called the mind. When one meditates, one may be successful or unsuccessful. Swamiji exhorts the sadhaka to practice the Sadhana of Samatva–remaining equal towards both of them.

Shlokas chanted in the track:

(Bhagavad Gita–2.48)

(Bhagavad Gita-4.38)
