Culturing a Buoyant Mind
Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha
In this talk, Poojya Swamiji takes up the subject of the potential of the mind. We all have things in our past which have the capacity to hurt or victimize us in the present. By the right thought process, by the right emotional process, by the right spiritual process, all that can be simply dropped and the mind can start becoming lustrous and brilliant. One is not to be victimized by the memory of the past; one has to be encouraged by the possibility of the present.
Swamiji emphasizes that if one wants to get into the actual sādhanā, one has to penetrate into the mind. You can think, “Any kind of a past I have, I will simply dispossess it. I will develop and culture a new present, a new mind.”
