Make Sattva Guna Predominant in Your Personality
Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha
Swamiji states that throughout the Bhagavad Gita there is a philosophy and categorization on the basis of the three qualitative constituents of nature (Gunas)-Sattva Guna (which is superior, and which constitutes knowledge), Rajo Guna (where passion and prejudice are at work) and Tamo Guna (which is governed by ignorance, sleep and delusion).
Bhagavad Gita says that Sattva guna may be difficult to practice in the beginning, but it is nectarine in the end. sāttvik quality is such that there may be many occasions when it will appear to be poisonous. But if one is able to sustain and assimilate all kinds of input, then one will be taken to a beautiful level of sattva like nectar.
Shlokas chanted in the Track:
यत्तदग्रे विषमिव परिणामेऽमृतोपमम् ।
तत्सुखं सात्त्विकं प्रोक्तमात्मबुद्धिप्रसादजम् ।।
Bhagavad Gita 18.37
