In this talk, Swamiji speaks about the great epic Mahabharata, written by Vyasadeva. In his great epic, Vyasadeva conveys deeper meanings through the characters of Karna, Duryodhana etc. He presents how they were inextricably bound by their emotions.

Swamiji shares the example of Karna, a complex character from Mahabharata. Karna was great, dangerously charitable and courageous. But he also had the hollow aspects in his personality, which Vyasadeva has revealed in his writings. Karna wanted to stand by the side of Duryodhana all along but his intolerance for Bheeshma made him keep away from the battlefield, till Bheeshma fell. It is this emotional turmoil that Vyasadeva has captured in his writings.
