What is Buddhi Yoga? Swamiji discusses the buddhi yoga of Bhagavad Gita in this Satsang. In Buddhi Yoga, one anchors the buddhi in the dimensions of the Atma which makes the whole personality integrated. The Buddhi (intelligence) generates purity and power from the self.
In Bhagavad Gita, Sri Krishna says that there are two disciplines for gaining supreme felicity in life — Jnana Yoga and Karma Yoga. The karma Yoga also can lead a seeker to the ultimate goal,
provided it is done with a Yoga Buddhi (with the buddhi anchored in the Self).
Krishna tells Arjuna that his fitness is only to pursue activities (Karma Nishtha) and not exclusive knowledge pursuit (Jnana Nishtha). But, while doing activity he should not foster any delusional
clinging to the internal, subjective results of happiness and unhappiness. Doing all work excellently, he must not make the final external happiness the motivation for work. He should also not cling to non-activity.
A seeker practices Buddhi Yoga when he does all activities being anchored in his own real identity, leaving all delusional clinging (Sanga). All activities produce only three results-favourable,
unfavourable or a mixture of the two. One must be equal to success and failure. This sama bhava is Yoga.
Bhagavad Gita takes this Samatva bhava to the ultimate level. It says that one who has the Yogic integration with equal vision everywhere, perceives the Self as abiding in all beings, and all beings as dwelling in the Self.
