Swamini Ma Gurupriya, during the enlightening three-day discourse, illuminated the minds of devotees on the essential spiritual qualities that enrich the mind, all delivered with her inherent warmth and love. Ma highlighted that these virtues are profoundly discussed in various chapters of the Bhagavad Gita, particularly emphasizing Chapter 13, which offers a detailed exploration.
Ma stated that spirituality enables us to rise above our limited physical identities and connect with the infinite existence. While our bodies, minds, and intelligence undergo change with age, the true “I”—our essence—remains untouched. Ma reminded everyone that we are not merely our physical forms, but rather the eternal Soul. The anxiety, fear, and disturbances we experience arise from a lack of consistent understanding and practice of our unchanging nature as the unaffected “I.”
Further, Ma elaborated on the twenty virtues outlined by Lord Krishna, explaining that they encapsulate the essence of true knowledge and serve as a pathway to the highest state of being. Ma emphasized the importance of each virtue, encouraging devotees to love and embody these qualities, thereby integrating them into their lives. Conversely, anything that contradicts these virtues is deemed ignorance and a departure from truth. Ma fervently urged the listeners to embrace these spiritual qualities, deepen their understanding of their true nature and align their lives with higher wisdom.
