In this talk, Swamiji Bhoomananda Tirthaji speaks about an Avadhuta (a Spiritual ascetic) from Srimad Bhagavatam. He is a renunciate who understands the futility of living in this world trying to amass wealth and various kinds luxuries.

The Avadhuta reflects on the lessons learned from observing nature. He learned patience, resilience, and tolerance from Mother Earth. He further draws lessons from trees, river, mountains, clouds, reflecting on their selfless service to others.

Wanting to feed visitors, a girl began hulling paddy. Finding her conch bangles making a noise, she removed them one after the other, until there was only one bangle on each hand. This led the Avaduta to understand the value of solitude. In the company of another, there will always be some kind of a talk, quarrel, misunderstanding etc. Solitude fosters peace.

Pujya Swamiji concludes this talk with reflections on the poetic vision and the lasting and effective value of poetic writings. He emphasizes that such knowledge treasures should be imparted in schools to create upright citizens of tomorrow.
