Swamiji Bhoomananda Tirthaji discusses the evolution of Indian Culture from Vedic Literature to Upanishadic thought.

Valmiki’s encounter with a hunter inspired him to compose poetry, leading to the creation of the Ramayana. Rama was a very good, noble, righteous and compassionate person. From such a compassionate and righteous mind arose a compulsion to abandon the pregnant Sita for no fault of hers but for a remark made by one of his citizens. Rama’s decision to abandon his pregnant wife, Sita, for the sake of upholding his duty as a king prompts reflection on the complexities of human relationships and societal expectations.
Ramayana serves as a reflection of human potential, illustrating the complexities of existence and the resilience of the human spirit in navigating life’s challenges. Swamiji highlights the timeless lessons embedded within the Ramayana, emphasising the importance of moral integrity, courage, and resilience in facing life’s adversities.

Shlokas chanted in the Track:
मा निषाद प्रतिष्ठां त्वमगमः शाश्वतीः समाः ।
यत् क्रौञ्चमिथुनादेकमवधीः काममोहितम् ।।

Valmiki Ramayanam Bālakāndam 1-2-15
को न्वस्मिन् साम्प्रतं लोके गुणवान् कश्च वीर्यवान् ।

Valmiki Ramayanam 1-1-2
