Introspection to get over Worldliness

  • Introspection to get over Worldliness

    Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

Swamji Boomananda Tirthaji emphasises the importance of understanding verses learned and their impact on our own behaviour. He urges introspection on personal sadhana, by introducing the practice of maintaining a note book dedicated to sadhana. By writing down thoughts on the verses, their messages and personal impacts, one’s writing skill will improve and will reflect in his/her behaviour. Introspection and self-assessment must be regular practices in the life of a seeker.

The concept of the world is actually an internal experience and this experience is within the mental sphere. All experiences are subjective, in the mind alone. The body is composed of matter and energy and is inert but there is an inner presence which is different from matter and energy. In the inner sphere alone all experiences, knowledge, and memory arise.

Swamiji emphasizes that the Inner Presence alone acts as the mind, intelligence and ego. It gives an idea of many and variety, but it is only one. The Self is unbounded, free from any distinctions. He urges seekers to introspect deeply and anchor themselves in this truth to navigate life with clarty and purpose.
