In this Satsang, Swamiji speaks about the Sadhana that Bhagavad Gita prescribes for a seeker. Swamiji emphasizes that every seeker must remind himself that he has a body, but he is not the body; he is different from the body. He is the inner presence which is ever-present, eternal.

Attitude to Sukha or Duhkha—In life, we are always interacting with persons, places, or events. In the mind level, all interactions produce only two results—sukha or duhkha. Bhagavad Gita gives a formula to deal with them. Knowing that Sukha and duhkha are transitory and illusory, one must remain equipoised and remain afloat over them.

Bhagavad Gita formula for life-- A seeker must receive all interactional impacts without getting affected, just like the ocean receives all rivers flowing into it. Interactions are in the mind, and the impacts are in the mind. So, in all interactions, there is nothing other than the mind. In the deep mind ocean, there may be some disturbing or agitating thoughts on the surface. They should not affect us.

Karma Yoga: One must perform all activities as a Yajna, an offering to the Supreme. The attitude must be to do all work excellently well, being free of delusional clinging.

Our inner personality: Our senses are superior to the world objects; mind is superior to the senses; intelligence is superior to the mind. But the soul (I) is still superior. Comprehending the ‘I’, which is superior to the intelligence, one must win over greed, desires etc.

Knowledge austerity: There is nothing more purifying than knowledge; the wisdom pursuit purifies and fulfils a human. Overcoming desires, fear and hatred, one who relies on the Lord, contemplates on the Lord, he attains the state of Krishna, being purified by knowledge austerity.

Renunciation: Real renunciation is the sublimation of hatred and desires. One who is equipoised when faced with all dvandvas (dualities), is free from all bondage.

Real mastery, real happiness—The entire creation is won over by one whose mind is equipoised. One who is able to sublimate the urges of passion and hatred, he is an integrated and a happy human being.
