Our fascinating exploration of stithaprajnata, state of inner absorption, continues in the deft hands of Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha.
The mind is a collection of reflections in the mirror of Consciousness. Reflections come and go, the mirror remains. So it is with our real identity, the “I”. All of the world is notional. Notions too come and go, mere appearances in the unchanging Self. As we go deeper into this path, we move from duality – seeing objects as different from the Subject – to Oneness, where everything is nothing but Brahman. When self-effort is showered upon by the grace of benevolent Spiritual Masters, we become more firmly seated in the abode of eternal peace which hosts both duality and Oneness. And carrying this inner absorption with us through all activities, we flow naturally towards a life of joy and excellence.
