Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

03 – Ashtavakra Samhita – By Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha – Key to The Inner Self

5 Views | 3 years ago

In this concluding session, Swamiji shifts our focus and attention from the outer objective perceptions to the inner Realization.

Swamiji, in his inimitable vibrant manner, says that the perception of the world as real and as different from the Self is the root cause of all our problems. The power of discrimination is the only thing that can shift our focus from the seen to the Seer.

Referring to shlokas from Dŗg-Dŗśya-Viveka and Bhagavad Gita, Swamiji very convincingly establishes the fact that the Witness aspect of our being is Eternal, Infinite, Taintless, Unaffected, Universal and is distinctly separate from all the Witnessed.

Swamiji beautifully sums up saying that liberation is the outcome of knowledge. The shackles of the mind and intelligence are broken by knowledge and you become free.

Verses Discussed: (1.4 to 1.6) Ashtavakra Samhita, Ashtavakra Gita
