This discourse series was delivered by Swami Nirviseshananda Tirtha at the ‘Center for Inner Resources Development’- Jamshedpur. In these talks Swamiji has delved deep into the chapter discussing each verse in great detail.
In this talk, Swamiji calls upon the listeners to feel a sense of dhanyata (blessedness) for having been born in this great country-India. He reminds us that we have inherited a vast and invaluable spiritual treasure from our forefathers - the great Rishis and we must be grateful.
Swamiji addresses Rishis as great scientists who explored, experimented, experienced and recorded their own discovery- Realization of the Self. The Rishis declared that in this ever changing world, this Self alone is Eternal, Imperishable and Immortal and we are all children of immortality. When we give up our hold on the world, we shall undoubtedly become free and fearless.
Swamiji shows us the way to experience expansion of our minds and realise our true universal identity. He calls upon seekers to heed their inner voice which is the Self alone and get anchored in It. Swamiji explains that we must allow our Viveka Buddhi to function so as to gain mastery over the objective world.
Swamiji explains how one becomes eligible to attain this inner wealth by transforming the mind and personality, so as to absorb and apply all the teachings of Bhagavad Gita. Lucidly explaining Sadhana Chatushtaya (the four-fold qualities of a seeker), Swamiji gives various practical tips for nurturing and retaining these qualities. Swamiji stresses that it is not a one-time practice but a life-long commitment. He also explains that all these inner enrichments are regenerative, each helping the other to grow.
