As we comb through the treasure trove of our glorious scriptures the goal must remain clear, reminds Swami Nirviseshananda Tirtha. The goal of growth and expansion, of taking our minds from a constricted state focusing on differences, to the universal dimension of seeing only Oneness.
Just as a pregnant woman has her precious child in womb constantly in mind through every single activity, so too must we as sincere seekers, always have the mind tuned to the Soul. Ancient sages speak of Brahman entering the cavern of our hearts, but Swamiji makes us understand that Brahman neither goes anywhere, nor is limited to any boundaries. This Knowledge becomes our own when we look within, purify our being and realize the inner Self that was there all along, unchanging and untouched. Attention and wholesomeness in this pursuit, coupled with compassion and grace of our Spiritual Masters, keep the brilliant flame of our real universal “I” alive and ablaze.
