Devotion is an exceptional and pure outpouring of fondness from the human heart. Its sublimity and divinity far outshines all traditional acts of worships and customs. In fact, it is this unconditional love for the lord, which makes him inseparable from us.

Swamiji beautifully narrates the story of a muslim princess Surathani, whose unflinching devotion made her walk all the way from Delhi to Sri Rangam in Tamil Nadu, in search of her Lord Ranganatha. After discovering that the idol is missing, she simply dropped her body out of the pangs of separation. The princess was later honoured as the consort of Lord Ranganatha and given a salient place in the temple ceremonies - which continues even today.

Swamiji describes how the ancient thinkers of our land were always open and all-embracing, to even transgress all existing ceremonial boundaries, if necessary - to accommodate and immortalize such exemplary acts of devotion.

Poojya Swamiji will be taking Bhagavad Gita Verse by Verse in this Satsang (Saturdays). Swamiji is now discussing the second chapter of the Bhagavad Gita.
