In this talk, Swamiji enlightens us about Prasthana Trayam which include the ageless Upanishads,Bhagavad Gita and the Brahmasutras. These three are the ground and basis of spiritual life and pursuit of wisdom.

The spiritual pursuit is interwoven with devotion. Devotion means reliance on God, developing fondness for him. Both faith and fondness are of mind and heart, wisdom is intelligence based.

In Bhagavad Gita, the sadhana element is always mind-based. The knowledge producing intelligence is used as a tool to understand the subject and to make the mind take to evenness and equalness. The Bhakta Lakshanas in Bhagavad Gita also address the mind. The emphasis is only on the mind.

So, a spiritual seeker must make his mind pleasant, cheerful, tolerant and flexible. He must not allow the mind to torment him. The attention should be shifted from the external cause to the internal mind where the effects are produced.

Shlokas chanted in the Track:

Bhagavad Gita 2.12

Bhagavad Gita 6.9

Bhagavad Gita 2.40
