Dispassion and Guru-Bhakti to Strengthen Your Pursuit
Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha
What is Sadhana or Spiritual pursuit? In Sadhana, the focus is in the inner sphere–mind, intelligence and ego. A seeker has to constantly strive to purify and sublimate these inner faculties.
Quoting scriptural verses, Swamiji points out that there are two qualities which should govern a seeker–Viveka (Discrimination) and Vairagya (Dispassion). In addition to these, Guru Bhakti should adorn a seeker. One must have fondness for the Guru, acceptance of whatever he says and the burning aspiration to follow whatever he says.
Shlokas chanted in the track:
(Vivekachudamani 28)
(Amritabindhu Upanishad 18)
