Swami Bhoomananda Tirthaji, in this talk, tells us aout the Aasuri traits and Daivi traits. In the 16th chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, Sri Krishna gives a list of Daivi Sampath and Aasuri Sampath and says that only the Daivi Sampath will take a seeker to Liberation. Aasuri Sampatti will keep him bound.

Various degrees of Aasuri tendencies are present in every Sadhaka. They are focused on ego, abhimana and mineness. A seeker must assess his own personality and understand it clearly. As soon as any aasuri or evil trait is spotted in his personality, he must immediately strive to remove it by a process of introspection. He must eliminate it by understanding that it is Āsuri and he should not allow or incorporate any one of them. That assessment is very important. Then only he will get the wish and will to get rid of the aasuri traits.
