Prabhata Rashmih - The Practice of Sadhana

Enlightened Outlook to transcend Grief

  • Enlightened Outlook to transcend Grief

    Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

Quoting a poem by Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Swamiji explains to us how nature plays an important role in providing us lessons on Truth and Knowledge.

Our body grows upto the age of 21 but the mind, intelligence and ego can be enriched and enhanced limitlessly. If one wants to live peacefully, with Confidence, strength and unshakeability in this world, one has to develop the quality of dispassion. By cultivating qualities like moderation, Harmony, Integration and evenness, one can have a towering personality.

Swamiji makes us understand that we are upon earth, surrounded by air, graced and greeted by rains, sometimes torn by cyclones, floods, rains or fire. We have to learn to live with them. Our lives are not completely in our hands; our lives are influenced by nature. When nature plays havoc and something happens, it is only enlightenment and timely insights which will help us. When such a situation comes, we should not get drowned by overpowering depression or grief.
