Prabhata Rashmih – Making Devotion Wholesome

Exclusiveness in Devotional Thinking

  • Exclusiveness in Devotional Thinking

    Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

In this track, Swamiji says that a seeker must have an exclusiveness in his devotion. He must develop a conviction that everything is the Lord alone. Fostering such a thought and remaining enfolded by it, is all-fold and wholesome worship.

This pursuit is perfected and intensified by the mind. A seeker can attain this once he understands that the approach to God is through the mind. This should govern his thinking.

One must think: “There is nothing besides God, away from God, different from God, outside Him. Everything is He Himself.” When we think of God in this manner, we become one with God. This constant unitedness with God can be achieved through the right thinking. All other external, material worship or Upasana should stop and we should resort to this inner, all-fold, unbroken worship.

Swamiji urges us to contemplate on this and become one with God. It is a beautiful mind process where we accept he is omnipresent. When we foster such a mindset, we will never be away from him.

Shlokas Chanted in the Track:

अनन्याश्चिन्तयन्तो मां ये जनाः पर्युपासते ।
भोक्तारं यज्ञतपसां सर्वलोकमहेश्वरम् ।
सुहृदं सर्वभूतानां ज्ञात्वा मां शान्तिमृच्छति ।।

Bhagavad Gita 5.29
