Prabhata Rashmih – Making Devotion Wholesome

Have Refuge in Guru or God

Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

  • Have Refuge in Guru or God

    Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha in this Talk, elaborates on a verse from the Bhagavad Gita, which gives the message on the attitude of performing all activities. Sri Krishna (the teacher) guided Arjuna (the disciple) to perform all karmas, with total reliance and refuge in the Guru.

If one cannot take total refuge in a Guru, then they can have total reliance in God and perform all activities wholesomely taking wholesome refuge in the Lord. Such an attitude of total refuge gives the mind an expansion, assurance and support. The entire life becomes easier, lighter, feebler. The mind becomes cheerful, come what may.

Shlokas chanted in the Track:

सर्वकर्माण्यपि सदा कुर्वाणो मद्व्यपाश्रयः ।
मत्प्रसादादवाप्नोति शाश्वतं पदमव्ययम् ॥

Bhagavad Gita 18.56
