Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha
Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha speaks about how the Shastras analyze the human mind and psychology in great depth, so that humans can cultivate the right and benevolent vision.
Bhagavad Gita gives the three-guna model. Elaborating on the Sattva Guna, Swamiji explains how one can imbibe sattvik qualities. A seeker must ensure that he takes to sattvik inputs. He should take to Sattvik food, Sattvik speech, Sattvik thoughts and all associated austerities at the oral, bodily, mental and intellegential levels.
One must do all activities with a sattvik orientation. Attention to the task and fulfilling it properly, is an actional sattva guna, and an interactional sattva guna. By this, the mind becomes refined and expansive. With this Sattvik vision alone, one is aware of the Rajasic and Tamasic admixtures in society and yet is not disappointed or influenced by them, but on the contrary can assimilate and be in harmony with them.
