Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha, in this Talk, speaks of the supremacy and excellence of the human intelligence and describes Truthful Introspection as the highest human activity.

Vichara shapes the character, behavior and interactions of a human being. This art of thinking, where the intelligence is directed rightly through introspection alone, will not allow the mind to host unwanted thoughts and the ego will assert its imperishable dimension. It is only because of lack of introspection that one does not progress on the path of devotion and also does not gain spiritual fulfillment.

It is only through the simple path of introspection, that the intelligence can delve into deep reflections about oneself, world, God and thus discover the source of Supreme joy and fulfillment. Swamiji states that it is only by the process of Truthful Introspection, Tattva Vichara, that the Vedas were composed, Maharishi Valmiki composed the Ramayana and Sage Vyasadeva the Mahabharatam.
