Swamiji’s constant endeavor is to bring the quality of austerity in the minds of a seeker. He gives the example of sage Vishwamitra, who is an example of extreme austerity.
Austerity can be done for various reasons. Parvati did austerity for Shiva, Panini did for gaining a clue to grammar and Hiranyakashipu did austerity to destroy Maha Vishnu.
In Bhagavad Gita, Sri Krishna says that austerity becomes effective only when there is no desire for gain from it.
Many people worship God, but worship becomes effective only when the mind becomes laden with God. One must resort to Jnana Tapas, totally resting on Him, relying on God. To worship God is not to worship Him occasionally with flowers, water and nivedya, etc. One’s worship should be mental in the heart and that worship should be to become Godly and by being Godly trying to be above rāga, dvesha and bhaya.
Shlokas chanted in the Track:

बहवो ज्ञानतपसा पूता मद्भावमागता: ।।
