Message from the Three Children of Srimad Bhagavatam
Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha
Vedvyasa presents the story of three children in Srimad Bhagavatam. In this track, Swamiji discusses each of these stories and explains what the message is for a seeker.
The first story is of Shameeka Maharishi’s son Shringi who cursed king Pareekshit. Shameeka Maharishi’s response to this curse shows us how to teach the younger generation. The second story is of the little boy Dhruva who is guided by his mother to go to the forest to propitiate Lord Hari. Srimad Bhagavatam, through this story, tells us how to test our own devotion. The third story is of young Prahlada who remained steadfast in his devotion to Sri Hari.
Through these stories, Bhagavatam tells us about the majesty of the human mind. Swamiji exhorts all seekers to absorb all the messages and find out where the correction is needed.
Shlokas chanted in the track:
यत आत्मागुणाश्रयः
(Srimad Bhagavatam-1.18.50)
योऽन्तःप्रविश्य मम वाचमिमां प्रसुप्तां
संजीवयत्यखिलशक्तिधरः स्वधाम्ना ।

प्राणान् नमो भगवते पुरुषाय तुभ्यम् ।।
(Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 4.9.6)
