Prabhata Rashmih - The Practice of Sadhana

Practicing Evenness towards pleasing and displeasing is sadhana

Discussing a verse from Bhagavad Gita, Poojya Swamiji exhorts the seeker to practice evenness in the face of all dualities.

The world comes with innumerable pairs of opposites. It is forever bringing pleasantness or unpleasantness, favour or disfavour. Swamiji emphasizes that a spiritual aspirant must develop the quality of evenness towards every kind of experience and development. Once this formula is applied every time, it becomes a sādhanā (Spiritual Pursuit).

Shlokas chanted in the audio:

असक्तिरनभिष्वंगः पुत्रदारगृहादिषु ।
नित्यं च समचित्तत्वमिष्टानिष्टोपपत्तिषु ।।

(Bhagavad Gita–13.9)
