Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha
In this talk, Swamiji discusses the benefit of a spiritual life and pursuit. Spirituality offers an inner gain, after attaining which, the spiritual seeker feels that there is nothing greater than that.
The spiritual gain is felt in the sphere of the mind. The only way is to sit and delve into our minds. The gain belongs to the mind and intelligence.
For some time daily, we must get into our mind and probe into its thoughts. Our mind is a wonderful source which can generate any number of thoughts, preserve them, and dissolve them too. Swamiji urges us to introspect on the workings of the mind and the origin of thoughts. One must sit in a place, close one’s eyes, be relaxed and get into the company of the mind and thoughts.
Every thought must be evaluated preserved or disposed off only after we spend time on it. Through this process, the thinking will get filtered, reformed and refined. Mind is a gift, a treasure. We must spend time with it and recognize it. One must go into its nature, its qualities, by the process of meditation. One must plunge into the mind and become more familiar with our inner personality and this meditation leads to integration of the personality.
Meditation can be attempted by everyone. It is the only way to get into our inner personality and bring about whatever enrichments and elevations we need and want.
Shlokas chanted in the track:
