Real Bhakti is Reflecting Upon your True Nature
Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha
What is Bhakti or devotion? In this audio, Swamiji delves on this subject. Quoting a verse from Vivekachudamani, he says that Bhakti is that whereby you constantly reflect upon and remember your own true nature.
Any kind of a mento-intellectual involvement about either the Self or God is what is called bhakti. So the bhakti is not external, it is purely internal, personal and the constituents, the source and refuge of bhakti are the mind and intelligence.
Shlokas chanted in the Track:
मोक्षकारणसामग्र्यां भक्तिरेव गरीयसी ।
स्वस्वरूपानुसन्धानं भक्तिरित्यभिधीयते ।।
(Vivekachūḍāmaṇi 31)
