Relaxation is of the Mind
Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha
Relaxation belongs to the mind, says Swamiji. It is something our mind has to feel and produce. Relaxation is not necessarily physical or determined by speed and efficiency of work.
Whatever we do, it must be done joyfully. Joy is not something that comes after working but we must have joyfulness and we must find harmony and integration everywhere. The whole process is mento-intellectual.
We can rest the physical body when it needs it. Another relaxation is meditation-getting absorbed in oneself. This is the samadhi state. By Meditation, having a relaxed mind and working joyfully, a seeker can make his own life light, joyous and peaceful. If the mind is not relaxed, the trouble is not outside– but within.
