Swamiji asserts that God is a concept of our mind. Devotion is a development, a culture we adopt. For this, we have to understand devotion properly. Devotion does not mean that there will be no difficulty, suffering and torment or no diseases for the devotee. Purpose of devotion is to strengthen our mind and enable and empower us to live a comfortable and happy life.

Sri Rama’s life was one of suffering and torment and Sri Krishna’s life was also full of challenges, when they had to re-install dharma in the soceity. Remaining human, Sri Rama and Sri Krishna displayed super-human dimension throughout.

Devotion means the ability, the readiness, the skill, the tenacity, the wonderful dimensions of the mind by which all difficulties will be turned into favorable factors. Devotion is to make our life easy, comfortable. Devotion means the crowning of the human mind, the glory of the human intelligence and the winning of the ego.
