    Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

In this talk, Swamiji speaks about qualitative refinement, a must for a seeker. Qualitative attunement depends on the extent of interest and depth the mind is able to develop on any subject.

The learning of shlokas (which are in poetry) is important because poetry is something that one can remember, imprint in the mind. When we learn verses or sanksrit shlokas by heart, they appear in the mind in the form of memory and give us an opportunity to match our behaviour, our thoughts and reactions with whatever is said there. With this the process of inner transformation, inner correction will be automatic.

Swamiji lovingly urges us to learn verses and keep the learning in the mind readily available. It is the sadhana of spending mind minutes, mind hours and mind days on it.

Shlokas chanted in the Track:

मनो हि द्विविधं प्रोक्तं शुद्धं चाशुद्धमेव च ।
अशुद्धं कामसङ्कल्पं शुद्धं कामविवर्जितम् ॥

Amritabindu Upanishad 1
