Prabhata Rashmih - Austerity and Renunciation

Self enrichment through austerity

Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

  • Self enrichment through austerity

    Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

In this talk, Swamiji emphasizes that the Mind and intelligence can be constantly enriched by austerity. A seeker must ensure that every action he/she performs is done with great attention. One has to constantly analyze whether the action is performed in a pure manner, without any clinging to it.

A seeker needs to ensure that he performs all activities–secular, religious, social– in an austere manner. Swamiji assures us that this sublimation and enrichment of the mind will bring great joy.

Shlokas chanted in the talk:

Bhagavad Gita 18.5

(Bhagavad Gita 18.6)

Bhagavad Gita 3.19
