Taking three scriptural examples, Swamiji explains how Spirituality is applicable in every field of life, in every situation in life and how it is indispensable in human life.

After 13 years of preparation for the Kurukshetra war, Arjuna crumbled when he saw that he would have to fight against his beloved grandfather and teacher. Krishna imparted the Spiritual wisdom which enabled Arjuna to fight.

King Pareekshit, cursed by Shameeka Maharishi’s son, had to face his own impending death. He sat and listened to Suka Maharishi’s narration of Srimad Bhagavatam. Listening to the narration, Pareekshit completely withdrew his senses, mind and intelligence from the outside world and dissolved himself into the Self within.

Sri Rama became totally dejected after a pilgrimage of India. Sage Vasishtha had to impart the knowledge of the Self and prepare Rama to live a life of challenges and sacrifices.

All the three examples show that one can be active and interactive in the world while enjoying the benefits of Self-Knowledge.
