Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha
Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha states in this talk that the mind and intelligence put together have only two states-thoughtful state or Thought-free state. The mind can become thought-free, because in sleep it remains absolutely thought-free.This capacity of the mind to become thought-free is revealed by the state of sleep.
The mind is always vibrant with thoughts, emotions, doubts, enquiry etc. These vrittis can be treated to lead to dissolution of vrittis. Our scriptures say that one must employ wish and will, handle the mind, deal with the mano-vrittis in such a manner that one will reach a state of mind-freeness or thought-freeness.
One can reach this state by meditation and evaluation. The greatest defense of a human being is thoughtfreeness. Once you reach the state, the best thought processes and emotional processes will emerge from there.
Shlokas chanted in the Track:
परं पौरुषमाश्रित्य नीत्वा चित्तमचित्तताम् ।
तां महापदवीमेहि यत्र नाशो न विद्यते ।।
