Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha
Quoting a verse from Adi Shankaracharya’s Vivekachudamani, Poojya Swamiji speaks about the interactive life of a Self-Realized person. His will be a public life, he would meet and interact with many people, places and situations. In all his interactions, he neither gets attached to anything nor does he get detached from anything. He is established in the middle position.
Swamiji exhorts listeners to stay focused on the middle position. This middle position, self-position, is so beautiful that one starts becoming harmonious with the world, integral with the world. Our spiritual attainment is not something to be had by being away from the world but by practicing ‘away-ness’ in the world itself.
Shlokas chanted in the audio:
न खिद्यते नो विषयैः प्रमोदते
न सज्जते नापि विरज्यते च ।
स्वस्मिन्सदा क्रीडति नन्दति स्वयं
निरन्तरानन्दरसेन तृप्तः ।।
