The Need for Dispassion and Yearning for liberation
Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha
In spirituality, what matters are dispassion and yearning for liberation. Even if one does not have dispassion, practice of introspection will bring it. When one understands that the whole world is fleeting and ephemeral, how can there be attraction towards it? The focus naturally lands on the substratum behind all the changes, and the yearning to know it grows.
Slokas chanted in the track:
(Vivekachudamani 28)
(Bhagavad Gita 4.40)
(Bhagavad Gita 9.2)
