The Quality of Avoiding Desires

  • The Quality of Avoiding Desires

    Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

In this talk, Swamiji speaks about the quality of Sama in a seeker of the supreme truth.

We generally have a number of desires, latent tendencies coiled up in the mind and these tendencies are at the back of all our activities and interactions. When the mind has desires, it is under tension, agitation and stress.

Swamiji shows the safe way of desire extinction. When the mind becomes desire- free, it becomes transparent and spatial.

So, the sadhaka must cultivate, nourish and grow Sama-the habit of abandoning and avoiding desires.

Shlokas chanted in the Track:

Aparokshānubhūtiḥ 6
