The Source of Our Strength
Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha
Swami Bhoomananda Tirthaji, explains that the purpose of the body is to host the senses and enable them to function in their respective fields. Objective perception or experience is the strength and succour for the senses. Emotions are the strength and anchor of the mind. In the mental level, if the mind is able to derive strength from love, sympathy, and sacrifice, that mind becomes very strong. In the same manner, Knowledge is the strength for the intelligence and assertion is the strength of the ego.
The mind must have the strength from very lofty, sublime and expansive emotions. The intelligence must have knowledge. In the ego level, you must have assertion. Unless these three areas are properly harnessed and properly developed, made vibrant and healthy – there won’t be substantial growth and progress in Spiritual Sadhana at all.
