The entire SIRD building was beautifully adorned to celebrate Krishna’s birthday. Little footsteps, were drawn on the floor by the devotees, leading from SIRD’s pouch to Poojya Swamiji’s chair in the Satsang hall, and then to the altar where baby Krishna sat on a wonderfully decorated cradle alongside the photograph of Poojya Swamiji.
After lighting of the lamp at the porch, Poojya Swamiji followed the footsteps and took his seat in the Satsang hall. One by one, the devotees performed ‘aarati’ for him, offering lighted diyas before turning their attention to little Krishna. They offered ‘aarati’, placed the diya at the altar, and joyfully swung his cradle, all accompanied by the melodious chanting of “sreekrishna govinda hare murari” by Aravindan ji and Sanjay ji.
Afterwards, Ma recited shlokas from the 10th skandha of Srimad Bhagavatam describing Krishna’s birth. The auspicious sounds of the conch and bell resonated the hall as the final shlokas announcing the divine descent were chanted. Ma then narrated the playful antics of little Krishna, as described in the poem “Sreekrishna Karnamrutam.” Later, Poojya Swamiji shared a Malayalam poem he had penned and spoke about how Krishna had inspired him from a young age.
The day concluded with devotees offering their pranaams and receiving ‘prasadam’ from Poojya Swamiji, leaving everyone with a profound sense of joy and spiritual fulfillment.
