Relief Efforts and Community Support Amidst Kerala’s Heavy Rainfall and Flooding

04 August 2024

In the final week of July 2024, Kerala experienced relentless heavy rainfall, which led to severe landslides and widespread flooding across various regions. In the low-lying areas of Paralam Grama Panchayat, where the Ashram is located, numerous homes were submerged. In response, the local administration established a relief camp at Venginissery School, where the displaced residents were relocated for safety.

On August 1st, Poojya Swamiji, Nutan Swamiji, and Ma generously donated rice, groceries, and other essential supplies to the relief camp, handing these provisions over to the President of Paralam Panchayat.

By August 3rd, aid was extended to additional relief camps in Cherpu, Chazhur, Tannyam, and Chenam Panchayats, further supporting those affected by the crisis.
