This talk was given by Poojya Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha during the Jamshedpur Jnana Yajna on 01 March 2013.
In this Satsang, Swamiji discusses the model human who has gained the potential to meet all the challenges in the world. His intelligence is stable and poised and he does not suffer from any fear or instability. He does not recede or withdraw from challenges but is prepared to float over and overwhelm all challenges.
A sthita Dhee (a stable-minded person) is established in his own Self within. He does not get agitated and depressed by Duhkha or elated by Sukha. His mind has the readiness to handle both of them and remain afloat over them. Since his mind is free of attraction, hatred and fear, his mind remains free and stable. He is conscious of the depth and potential of the mind. Since his mind has outlived its constrictions, it has become expansive and assimilative.
To a person with a stable intellect, all challenges thrown by the world seem trifling. He may be faced with favourable or unfavourable situations, but he does not cling to them or hate them. He has an equal vision towards everything. His own Self is the source of contentment and fulfilment for him. A sthita Dhee is a man of sensory moderation. He has perceived the source of the entire world phenomena and he is established in it. For him, the external attractions and desires lose their strong appeal because he is in the embrace of the inmost Soul.
