Ma Gurupriya

047 – by Swamini Ma Gurupriya – Be flooded by the thought of the Self

1062 Views | 3 years ago

In this satsang, Ma meticulously describes the aim of sadhana for all of us seekers. The sadhana should lead us to a state, where the mind is laden with God - in all our perceptions, thoughts and activity. It should firmly establish us in Oneness of existence - free of all differentiation and never fall from it. When that happens, the mind begins to rejoice in the ceaseless joy, welling forth from the infinite nature of our being.

But, why do we find it difficult to be seated in the truth once and for all? Ma says, it is due to our long standing habit of identifying ourselves with the body. By identifying with the body, a feeling of 'I-ness' and 'mine-ness' develops in the mind and this mistaken identification is the root cause for all our sufferings.

A seeker of truth should therefore repeatedly listen to, ruminate over and meditate on the supreme reality. Ma points out that it should not be a mechanical process, rather we must joyfully and effortlessly think about the all pervading presence, allowing it to make a deep impression in our mind and feel flooded by its infinitude.

Mā's Satsang is entitled 'Towards Eternal Peace and Happiness' based on Bhagavad Gita, Vivekachudamani, Yoga Vasistha Ramayanam and Bhagavatam | | Live Global Satsang with Spiritual Masters on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday at 8 pm IST/ 10:30 am EDT/ 10:30 pm MST
