While living in this world, the interaction between the senses and their objects in unavoidable. The senses are useful tools for the mind and intelligence to perform their functions. But the moment mind gets allured towards any sensory object, it becomes a slave to the senses - craving for fleeting sensory indulgences. Such unbridled indulgences can often lead one to danger and downfall.
Poojya Swamiji enlightens us that the Mind is far more powerful than the senses. Mind alone activates the senses and makes it possible for them to function. It is due to delusion, that it courts slavery.
By nourishing the mind with knowledge and dispassion and enriching it with lofty qualities, the mind becomes sublime in its responses. Such a mind begins to radiate delight on its own and the senses lose all their sway and begins to shy away from it!
Poojya Swamiji will be taking Bhagavad Gita Verse by Verse in this Satsang (Saturdays). Swamiji is now discussing the second chapter of the Bhagavad Gita.
