Even though we want to abide in the thoughts of Brahman throughout the day, we often find that our mind slips away to other thoughts. Inspite of knowing that the Atma Vichara is the only way to eternal happiness, the mind continues to dwell in the thoughts of perishable objects! Why does this happen?
Ma enlightens us that it is because our minds are currently laden with a host of likes and dislikes towards the objects of the world. These likes and dislikes distract the mind and makes it restless. In a restless mind, Atma Vichara or Brahma Bhavana becomes impossible.
So a seeker must exclusively spend some time everyday and whenever possible, to dwell in Atma Vichara, to remain one with those thoughts. Drawing abundant strength and inspiration from the inexhaustible source, one has to slowly clear away the taints of the mind. Ma tells us that a pure and regulated mind will reveal the Self effortlessly!
Mā's Satsang is entitled 'Towards Eternal Peace and Happiness' based on Bhagavad Gita, Vivekachudamani, Yoga Vasistha Ramayanam and Bhagavatam | | Live Global Satsang with Spiritual Masters on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday at 8 pm IST/ 10:30 am EDT/ 10:30 pm MST
