Only when the Supreme knowledge is expressed by a pure being to an equally pure receptacle, it will shine in its purest dimension! Nutan Swamiji enlightens us that it is not the scholarship or harsh austerities, but the purity, sharpness and expanse of the 'buddhi', which qualifies one for self realization.
The Apara (inferior) knowledge covers the entire gamut of objective knowledge, the four vedas and six vedangas - they are prescribed for the sake of developing discipline and perfection. It is only when the buddhi undergoes a complete transformation, becoming subtle and penetrating through the process of assiduous introspection, that the Para (Supreme) knowledge becomes a possibility. The whole purpose of the inferior knowledge is to finally attain the Supreme Knowledge!
Swamiji will be discussing 'Voice of Upanishads'. The Global Satsang will be based on Kathopanishad and Mundakopanishad. | Live Satsangs with Spiritual Masters on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday at 8 pm IST/10:30 am EDT/ 10:30 pm MST.
