In this exquisite satsang, Ma explains to us how the qualities of Rajas and Tamas affects a spiritual seeker.
Ma tells us that Rajas keeps our mind active in a variety of thoughts. It propels us to do more and more sadhana and distracts us from dwelling one-pointedly on Brahman, thereby defeating the whole purpose of sadhana. Tamas on the other hand enervates our mind through lethargy, inattention and sleep. The mind thus rendered impure by Rajas and Tamas, will not be able to grasp the real nature of Self!
So, to isolate our mind from the effects of Rajas and Tamas, Ma exhorts us to perform all our actions in tune with Sattva Guna. Unless we imbibe sattvic qualities, our mind cannot become pure.
Mā's Satsang is entitled 'Towards Eternal Peace and Happiness' based on Bhagavad Gita, Vivekachudamani, Yoga Vasistha Ramayanam and Bhagavatam | | Live Global Satsang with Spiritual Masters on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday at 8 pm IST/ 10:30 am EDT/ 10:30 pm MST
