In this Satsang, Nutan Swamiji makes it clear to us that it is only by purifying all elements of our being, we will be able to realize our own Real Nature. There is no other way.

The discovery of the Self is an experiential discovery. There is no use in just reading, hearing and talking about the qualities and characteristics of the Self. It is the universal consciousness which manifests as our body, mind and the world. But our vision, being affected by 'bheda buddhi', makes us think that we are a small body identity living inside the infinite world and we are different from everything else. This inherent differentiation prevents us from realizing our True nature.

Swamiji says, there is no difference between the two birds - the egoistic identity and the universal identity. Both are of the same nature of consciousness. By carefully sieving out all limiting adjuncts in our being, we will discover the supreme glory of 'Brahman' as our own. This is the vision of buddhi, a non-dual vision! Truly speaking it is the desires which delude us and keeps us constricted. When the desires are dropped, we become one with the Universal Self. All our miseries will not leave us until we realize this Universal nature of our Self!
