Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

095 – Bhagavad Gita – Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha – Unbroken Samadhi

2135 Views | 2 years ago

In this satsang, Poojya Swamiji quoting the life of ancient kings Janaka, Suraghu and Parigha, reminds us that Spiritual Perfection can be attained while intensely pursuing one's own designated activity.

Swamiji explains that in sleep, 'I' remains all by itself and there is an experience of blissfulness. From sleep we wake up and the infinite world including our body-mind personality manifests. At the end of waking state, the entire waking phenomena dissolves back into sleep. In all this, 'I' continues unbrokenly as a changeless presence. When this Truth is understood, Swamiji says, where is the need for a separate meditative sitting?

Samadhi is an experience of the Soul, that we are. Swamiji enlightens us that everywhere and at all times, the Self alone is in display. In everything that is experienced, it is the 'I' constantly revealing itself. When we become properly enlightened by this Truth, the Self Knowledge becomes unbroken and there will not be a moment when the mind is without Samadhi. From then on, graced by superb impersonality, impartiality and nothingness, we can live in this world cheerfully and gloriously!
